The following error is coming in ABAQUS 6.14 Implicit Co-simulation: THE Abaqus ANALYSIS IS TERMINATED BECAUSE THE TIME INCREMENT IS SMALLER THAN MINIMUM ALLOWABLE INCREMENT SIZE SPECIFIED ON THE PROCEDURE OPTION.
You need to reduce minimum time increment allowed for the ABAQUS solver. For example if the minimum default is 1e-5 then you need to use some value that is less than the above mentioned one. Otherwise, try to refine your mesh to increase the solution stability.
Thanks Mr Kareem. The thing is this error popped up only after making the mesh finer. Secondly, I am doing co-simulation, so there is no issue with ABAQUS-Explicit. The error is coming only with ABAQUS-Implicit. And I think making the time increment even smaller would not solve the error as it says the time increment used is smaller than the prescribed procedure.
You can reducing the value of the allowable time-increment limit (obviously). This might be a good solution if you think you are relatively close to the analysis end, but might result in excessively long calculation times and increasing the mesh size of your model (larger elements allow for larger time-steps as the speed of wave propagation is constant within the element). This might however require that you make some kind of convergence analysis to ensure that you don't end up with an excessively coarse mesh.
