I think you are using ARCMap 10? As per my knowledge its problem of 10th version not Arc Hydro tool. Just do one experiment, start editing and run your process.

The default name of the output AgreeDEM is constructed by appending to the raster location the name of the active dataframe as well as the name associated to the AgreeDEM tag in the configuration.
