Recently, I noticed increased TOC values of PFOA & PFOS in aqueous solutions (pure water) after UV photolysis reaction. In the beginning, I suspected of some kind of problems in the measurements and took all kinds of precautions. Later, I found that another colleague also was facing the same problem. Can anybody suggest on possible reasons for increased TOC values after UV photodecomposition of PFOA/PFOS in ultrapure water?
