In XTEM measurements, some ".emi" & ".ser" files of the EDX & STEM analysis are generated. I am unable to read these files, can anybody tell me which program/software can read these files? These .emi and .ser files opened using Notepad but some of the fonts are not readable.

We operate on XP, and it works fine. However for newer versions check with the FEI folks. Just make sure it is installed on a separate computer (not directly connected to your TEM) and have enough RAM. Manufactures manual should have the relevant information on this matter.

It is a free, open-source software for advanced data analysis. It runs in both Windows and Linux, it can perform statistical analysis in your data (like PCA) and also many features specific for EDS are available.
emi files are not easy to access.
But for .ser you can try "Image J + TIA reader plugin".
