There is a significant number of software available to model particulate matter dispersion at regional and intraurban scale to map its concentration to analyse its health effect. However, all of them are too costly to be afforded by an individual researcher. Therefore, it is an appeal addressed to all researchers/ scholars involved in air pollution modelling.
Yes HYSPLIT model can be run online. We can select any meteorology data which suit for the study area. Moreover, HYSPLIT model can be run by backward trajectory to find the possible sources of air mass.
Than you all for help, I will take help of the two suggested models and find out which serves my interest best.

The openair project is a Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) knowledge exchange project that aims to provide a collection of open-source tools for the analysis of air pollution data.
HySPLIT is very good to model forward and backward air trajectories in regional as well as global scale. However, if you want to model intraurban dispersion (local scale), I don't think HySPLIT will be very useful as its using NCDC reanalysis outputs of horizontal air velocity. Spatial resolution of the outputs are 2.5 by 2.5 degrees. It may contain some error at this very small scale.
WRF-CHEM will be very good approach if you can take the initial condition from some finer resolution models.

Thank you all and Dr. Bhanja. After downloading it I found HySPLIT difficult to install and after going through instruction and reviews and application of the software I came to the same conclusion that is it is not but more than what I want to do.

Dr. Mohammad Firoz Khan Hysplit 4 is available on internet for free of cost. Still if you want to install Hysplit 4 in your computer it need some files before installation like tcl compiler, gis file reader, imagemagic and so on.
Hi Dr. Khan. The HYSPLIT model is quite good for back and forward trajectories analysis of PM. Visit the USEPA website (www.epa.gov/ttn/scram/modelingappsindex.htm) there are a couple of modeling software you can try your hands on especially AERMOD screening model and a couple of other. You have to take time to interact with them to understand their operation.
For PM dispersion within urban canopy layer, I suggest do simulations with CFD code, such as OPEN FORM, FLUENT.
HYSPLIT is a good model freely available and is very user friendly, inputs are few and easy to put. You can use both for farward and backwards trajectories. However if you are looking at intraurban level I am not sure if it will perform so well. The results for near surface dispersion were not very accurate.
The Lagrangian Particle Model GRAL is freeware since a couple of weeks. It comes with a Graphical User Interface for any Windows PC. Download the model via this link:

You can first try HYSPLIT. It shows the direction of airmasses from and to a location. Other models are also available online but need more input data such as detail emission data, meteorology, etc.
Kindly,iam looking for a dispersion modeling software which deal with Pm and other gaseous parameter ,give me the result on a map .but easy to install not like HYSPLIT which requires a very sophisticated installation .

It is a Lagrangian Particle Model with an integrated microscale CFD model to take the effect of buildings on flow and dispersion into account. It requires rather simple meteorological input data mostly available from routine observational networks. Furthermore, it can be operated via a graphical user interface, which makes it relatively simple to run the model and to deal with complex input data typical for urban environments (buildings location and heights, roads emissions, etc.).
Thank you Dietmar Oettl very much ,but iam looking for a simple soft ware that can give me numerical modeling for the Smog or PM from a point sources which coming from specific location and affecting on another location on a big scale .regardless the buildings ,I am looking for just air quality indicators .
Probably you just need to apply a simple Gaussian plume model like AERMOD or ADMS. Anyway, the GRAL model can of course also be run without buildings :-)

very interesting task! Yes, I think GRAL could do this Job. The latest version is also able to include dry deposition, which might be an important process in the dispersion of parasite's eggs. As GRAL is a Lagrangian-type model, it can be applied for very short dispersion distances, too (if this is required).

Can anyone in here recommend a freely available software the is capable modeling the impact of emissions from landfill on the quality of air and groundwater. Better still a freely available model capable of modeling either the air or groundwater component
Erwin Gweikolo Varmie I don't know all of the previously mentioned air dispersion models, but most of them will also support area sources. If you look at these options you will find a model for air dispersion of pollutants from landfills. For groundwater pollution you will have to look elsewhere.
