I'm working on IoT in protected cultivation of Gerbera. I'd like to know the exact atmospheric temperature, RH and soil moisture requirement for the crop. Kindly send me some related research work/ experimental findings.
Actually, I'm working on Bold lettered parameters. Seeking information from the researchers.
@ Sagar, the atmospheric temperature should be between 28-30 degree Celsius, RH should be between 80-85%, the moisture level in soil would be better to maintain between 40-60% , soil should be highly porous and well drained with the pH between 5.5-6.5 and the salinity level not exceed 1ms/cm.
Thanks Sir for your kind information. I have noted the following:
1. RH 90% and above or 60% or less caused difformity.
2. Day temp above 32 degree C reduced number of followers and quality.
3. During vegetative stage RH and temp were maintained above general recommendations. But growth was OK.
Can you please provide me further detailed informations on the following.
1. Best day and night temp and their impact on flower quality
2. Best RH for quality flower
3. Best soil moisture level
I have the option to manage these by IoT in polyhouse.
