in single H bridge two mosfet are called HIGH side mosfets and others are low side.Can you explaine the difference b/w HIGH and LOW side Mosfets?
As result of High side mosfet we need gate driver for ON/OFF purpose of mosfet. similarly, explain it that how gate driver on the mosfet?
It is a kind of convention. The high side MOSFET refers to the MOSFET in which the drain pin of the MOSFET is connected to the positive side of the power source. Meanwhile, the Source pin is not connected to the ground of the power supply but connected to the Drain pin of the low side MOSFET and Inductor (inside the motor). The Source pin of the Low side MOSFET is connected to the common ground (motor ground).
In term of driving, the high side MOSFET driving signal should be referred the source pin at which the voltage is not zero. It can be called as a virtual ground or high side ground. On the other hand, the driving signal of the Low side should be referred to the ground side of the motor.
