Can any one explain a method to estimate the nutrients releasing pattern of a particular fertilizer ( specially organic) ?

I am working on a project to produce an organo-mineral fertilizer. I need a scientific method to determine nutrients releasing pattern of that new fertilizer. Can anyone suggest a scientific method?
