I am an upcoming researcher and this is my first time in research. My research involves the study of those countries with the fastest growing economies in Africa. I've realized that if I'm to collect primary data, the project will require very huge amount of cash and very long period of time. This leaves me with the option of content analysis as the only way.

Dear Calvince Otieno, you may wish to focus your study alone using secondary data. If you do a very good statistics and come up with inferences, your findings will be very valuable. I will be interested in the outcome of your studies.

Yes you can. It depends on topic. BUT YOU MUST CHOOSE SECONDARY DATA VERY CAREFULLY! Because secondary data is collected for other reasons.
