I did an experiment to observe dendritic spines using Golgi staining, and got the result picture. Use Image J：Stack---Z project------ to get a picture of Z projection，
so can the processed picture be used directly in the article published?or should I used the original image which is no z-composition？

I would use both for publishing. all experimental procedures should be documented and the original image be provided that way there is no doubt on reproducibility. If I were the reviewer and you tell me in the procedure that you used image J I would ask for the original (either as part of the paper or as a supplemental file to be uploaded).
