My reseacrh area is absorbtion refrigeration system with nanofluid. I know how can I calculate the performance parameters of NH3-WATER and LiBr-WATER as a base fluid. But the thing is, how can I integrate the nanoparticles to basefluid to calculate the performance parameters theoretically using Engineering Equation Solver ? I found some articles but they were useless. After adding nanoparticles to base fluid to make a nanofluid, how can I calculate entalphy, entropy, mass flow rate, COP, circulation ratio, variation of rich and poor concentrations, condenser and absorber capacity ?
Dear colleagues, there are several factors when using nanofluids as an additive in the composition of the working fluid of absorption refrigeration machines.
Firstly, it is not clear what effect (positive or negative) nanofluid will have on the absorption capacity of water as an ammonia absorbent. Similar to bromistolithium solution.
I think that theoretically it is impossible to prove. Experimental studies should be conducted.
Secondly, the heat capacity is used to determine the enthalpy. In our case, the enthalpy of the solution.
With an increase in heat capacity, thermal effects will increase. In the generator, a greater amount of heat is required, and in the absorber, on the contrary, it will be necessary to remove more heat.
Norbert Lümmen Thanks your asnwer but your answer is not associated with my question directly. I need how can I put into nanorparticle to base fluid and what kind of equations I will use. I couldn't find quality articles in terms of theoretical studies.
I recommend calculating the air-side and refrigirant-side thermal resistance. If the heat transfer was limited because of the air-side, using nanofluid won't help.
Our studies reveal that nanofluids could be a good choice in liquid-liquid heat exchangers.
