I know that there are often specific areas, often within A, that are responsible for this temp. sensitivity, but what is actually going on, in say SV40 tsA1499?
Tegtmeyer P published a lot of the studies trying to answer exactly this question starting in the early 70's and ending in the mid 90's of the previous millenium:

Still it seems like we don't know, specifically, physically, how temperature is affecting these mutants, wether it be conformational change or bond melting.
Have you worked with tsSV40s before? Where can I buy them?
I guess I want to know: HOW, physically, does temperature affect WHAT aspect of the mutant's ability to induce/bind to WHAT?
Have you cloned/made virus/used tsSV40s before? Do you have a ts/mutant SV40T sequence?
