We are working with a molecule in our which promotes mammosphere formation of both luminal A and TNBC in both cell lines and patients samples. There are more mammosphere number and also increase in area. But in cell cycle a the entire population is shifting to G0/G1 phase of cell cycle in comparison to control and also have low ki67 value. I find this very contradictory. If there are more mammospheres that means cells are dividing. If they are dividing then they should not be in G0G1. I have repeated this experiment and always have obtained the same result. Can anybody help me with any suggestions
