I am trying to subtract the blank (buffer) spectra from the sample spectra in Cary fluorescence spectrometer software. I don't see any option on the command tab that allows me to scan blank spectra or upload a blank spectra. Has anybody worked with this software? And also is there any other way to subtract blank spectra from sample spectra manually? Thank you in advance.
If the software lacks this feature (unforgiveable!), then export the data files in text format or in Excel format, and use Excel to perform the subtraction.
What software you are using? As Adam said, if the software does not allow, then you have to read the flurorescence of the blank and substract it from the sample using excel.
its a simple excel subtraction that you can do by exporting the data of both buffer blank and your sample. Than simply subtract buffer value with sample value and resulting data is your subtracted data.

Thank you everyone for the help. I was able to get the net spectra of the sample by using excel.
