Heavy metal biosorption can be well classified under  bioremediation as well as adsorption. Bioremediation may be appropriately associated because of the environmental hazard caused by heavy metals. Precious metal recovery by biosorption is more important monetarily rather than associated environmental hazard. So in this respect, is biosorption of precious metals from simulated samples a remediation process or an adsorption process more appropriately?
