I am looking for the best insulin (PZI, Lantus, Humalin) and times of day to treat Streptozocin-induced diabetic and db/db mice. This will be a long-term (14-21 day) treatment protocol. We have thought about using Azlet Pumps, but we would rather stay away from them.

We use Humalog and inject early in the morning as they are most actively eating throughout the night. 2x a day might be needed and you should monitor BG closely. We inject subQ. You could also do insulin pellet implantation. It is smaller and therefore less invasive than the pumps.

Entedhar, do you have any idea where they got that insulin? It is no longer available on the market. I think it went out in 2005, but this was published last year.
Lindsey, are you talking about the LinShin pellets? I can't seem to find any other manufacturers.
