Dear all,

I was wondering if you can recommend your favourite free simulation software for nanophotonics. Justification for the choice would also be highly appreciated.

Personally I am using MNPBEM as an excellent fast option for simulating the optical properties of isolated plasmonic structures.

I am also using Meep, which has an excellent FDTD solver (supports anisotropic materials, nonlinear optics, etc).

I am currently interested in finding a good and flexible free FEM solver for plasmonics.

Please share your opinion. thank you

Nikolaos
