Ba0.4Pb0.6Fe12-xCoxO19 hexaferrites, synthesized via citrate gel auto-combustion and heated at 950 °C for 4 hours, demonstrate M-phase, PbM, and hematite presence through XRD analysis. Microstructural examination reveals stacking clusters of hexagonal platelets. TEM images of x = 0.3 display a polycrystalline nature with fused particles. M − H loops exhibit hard magnetic behavior, reaching a maximum saturation magnetization of 55.427 A m2/kg at x = 0.10, while coercivity varies from 0.058 T to 0.390 T. Cobalt substitution notably impacts dielectric properties, increasing ac conductivity and dielectric constant up to x = 0.10 and decreasing thereafter. The consistently low loss tangent across compositions suggests suitability for lossless applications.
