I proceded to identified my strains isolated from dairy food with MALDI-TOF, and essentially lactic acid bacteria. My question is how can'i do the dendogram for all strains in only one dendogram?. The progamme wich i use do strain's dendogram separately (each strain alone?) but i want all my strains in one dendogram.

I saw some paper about this subject. but it is not essay .You can use 16SrRNA, IPA20 and VITEK method.
Thanks for your answers. I identified last month my lactic acd bacteria with MALDI-TOF "Burker". The VITEK programm can be used by MALDI-TOF Burker?
Hi Nawal, first of all you have to calculate MSPs (reference entries) from each single strain. Ideally you have a minimum of two spectra per strain for this calculation to improve the peak picking and de-noising. Once you calculated the reference entries you can select all your strains to calculate one single dendrogram. The Vitek MS software cannot be used for the Bruker MALDI spectra.
Dear Nawal, Aside from Bruker's MALDI Biotyper software (see comment of Thomas Maier) cluster analysis of MALDI-TOF mass spectra could be done also by the MicrobeMS software. MicrobeMS is free!
The program allows reading spectra files in Bruker's proprietary file format Note also that VITEK data from Shimadzu/bioMérieux systems can be imported via the open mzXML format.
