Azerbaijan Medical Journal is one of fake journals it used the name and ISSN number of other journal and put in their website Shamago link for the true journal and still publishing every month more than 100 articles per issue for more than 300 dollars as publication fee. and unfortunately all authors they waiting for their published articles to be indexed in scopus but it will never indexed because this journal it fake.

Indeed, we all cannot warn enough for this type of fraud. Hijacked journals are a big trap for researchers unaware of the existence of hijacked journals. A great source is:

The journal “Azerbaijan medical journal” is already identified as being the victim of this type of scam. Indeed, the only legit website is: https://www.azmedjournal.com
Besides the excellent retraction watch source list there are more red flags when looking at the fake one:
-Comments on SCImago already is a warning sign https://www.scimagojr.com/journalsearch.php?q=28079&tip=sid&clean=0
-Mentioning of ORES website here https://www.azerbaijanmedicaljournal.com is a big warning (in my experience basically all journal titles with issues (hijacked, predatory, in the meantime discontinued Scopus titles etc.) are mentioned on this ORES site https://ores.su/en/
-The fake one (https://www.azerbaijanmedicaljournal.com/about-us ) mentions “the Journal is located at Beijing, China” while obviously the title and the ISSN info https://portal.issn.org/resource/ISSN/0005-2523indicates Azerbijan...
