Normally we avoid resonance due its danger in engineering appl.Now the high amplitude at resonance may
has advantage to improve machinery appl.such as gaining high displacement for shaking or mixing or at machining process .can we consider this as an advantage?
There can be no gain of energy because energy cannot be created by the mechanical system, resonance only causes resistance/energy dissipation to be (theoretically) zero.
I think using the phenomena in machines would have the risk that the amplitude of vibration will not be controllable at resonance hence can cause self destruction!
Also designing the vibrating part to be in resonance will be very sensitive to change; wear, alignment, etc. that may shift the resonance frequency and hence would not be at resonance anymore!

It depends on which resonant frequency you are referring to. If you are referring to the resonance of the machine tool, then in most cases, I agree with Michel Sadek. That would cause a negative effect on the machining process, such as tool wear as presented in this paper:
