What can go wrong because of an increased cilia length ? is there a way I can assay that?
My second question is whether there is any technique known or designed to assay ciliogenesis defects ? I know about in and out assay for ciliogenesis, but I think it's more of capturing different stages of cilia than seeing any defects. and I feel counting the percentage of ciliation is not robust enough to say that there is a defect.
