Hello. I am currently doing simulation in Aspen Plus. As per the reversible reaction kinetics, the % conversion should increase with decreasing pressure or increasing temperature and vice-versa. However, the % conversion is increasing with increasing pressure. Please help me, how this problem can be resolved? For increase in temperature, the % conversion increase, which is quite fine.
What reactor? What chemical reactions? What conditions of conducting the process? Without providing such information, you suggest that you do not want to get an answer. Regards,

The reaction in the gaseous phase with the increase in the number of moles, and therefore with the increase in pressure, the equilibrium should shift towards the substrate. But the result is different. So next questions: Process conditions: isothermal, adiabatic or non-isothermal process? And above all the form of the kinetic equation? Regards,

Sorry, I can not help you since I am not familiar enough with the AspenPlus software system.
Thus, a power binomial without a denominator (taking into account the influence of sorption effects), and also isothermal conditions. I exclude the phrase "But the result is different" from my previous answer, because I do not really know if the calculations led to the state of equilibrium. If so, the result is incorrect - to answer I need to know the form of mass balance equation with value of parameters. If not, then for small residence times, as the pressure increases, the conversion will increase (the partial pressure of MCH increases). So no mistake.
I am wondering, however, why Aspen Plus for such a simple task, that is, supposedly to solve a single ordinary differential equation. I see the only problem in physicochemical data. Regards
How can I run a simulation with solids compounds? I already selected the databank "solid", but the software keeps returning me a shut down error after a long time runing... I need to add some solids compounds to represent a biological treatment. If anyone could help I'll be glad.
