No I don't think artificial intelligence will lead to unemployement. It'll do the inverse. AI is just a fact of specification, for example how to traeted efficiently data in human resources, how to teach more specifically thanks to different profiles of pupils, etc. I.e. AI helps to approach differently how we work and approach our tasks. At the end, IA will create many new jobs. A chance for employment !

Currently it is estimated that about 80% of projects based on AI will fail. That is that nobody is able to state whether they created added value or not.

Therefore, while headlines focus on one or the other company which fire their employees pretexting the irruption of AI, one should be more cautious and focus on the big picture, before taking such a radical stance.

Therefore for the time being, nobody knows, but if we look at previous major innovations, some jobs will disappear, some other ones will emerge, therefore a transfer of jobs cannot not be avoided. However, in what extent ?

Imagine somebody discovers a vaccine or a pill that cures all the kinds of cancer. Should we deprive ourselves of it on the pretext that all organizations related to the fight against these diseases would become idle ? No for sure.

This is the same for every new progress. But If its benefit-risk ratio is more than great enough, then the choice is quickly made.

Artificial intelligence is a promising step forward, however we must stay vigilant about its use remembering the famous Rabelais’s quote “Science without conscience is nothing but the ruin of the soul”.
