I would like to perform a reversed passive arthus reaction assay by intravenous injection of antigen and then intradermal injection of antibody into rats. Using BSA and anti-BSA antibody pair is convenient for me but I notice that ovalbumin and anti-OVA antibody pair is more commonly used in published papers. I wonder if there is any difference?

I also would like to know the difference between reversed passive arthus reaction and arthus reaction? We can induce arthus reaction by just repeatedly injecting the antigen into the animal. Why use the reversed arthus reaction, is that just because the latter method is quicker to achieve?
