Dear scientists,

currently I'm doing research on how skid trails (or forest roads) affect hydrology of forest basins. More precisely I'm looking for studies that tried to found out if there is difference between tree rings of trees above and under road, because of disruption of subsurface waterflow. Trees downslope should have less water (because of soil compaction) thus have lesser annual increments.

Are you aware of any studies of that kind?

Thanks for any response.
