Surely Dr. Sahar, evolving process is contiuous in whole living organisms. while this processes related with environment alteration including ( surrounding conditions, food habits, geographic location, climate change, pollutants and etc......

So mankind would gradutely evolve and I think that there is an evidance for that that shape and color varaition copeing with the migration rout from Africa to all the continents whereas our grangfather was black.

We are great part of all the living World, and we are having to evolve together.

Since it is not possible to follow large-scale changes in the human gene pool, this is a very difficult question - if not impossible - to answer. We would need a lot of information from every population across the world. The advances in medical treatments, including the survival of babies that in earlier times would have died before or soon after birth, have led to many selection pressures being lifted or eased, so that they no longer influence the evolution of our species. Through our control of our environment we may even be producing selection pressures for features that, subjected to "raw" nature would not be well adapted.

I think the much more pressing questions relate to our existence as a species. Although, as Abdallah Noori states, some consider that we are "the best possible creatures nature could ever have", there are plenty of arguments against that idea. We are so utterly dominant in nature - in the size of the human population, its gigantic use of energy, the dominance of its domestic animals (96% of biomass of all mammals combined) and the enormous pressures that are causing large-scale extinctions. Perhaps we are, instead, the worst "idea" that nature ever had...

In a 2015 paper, on human evolution I wrote: "Does Darwinism offer any insight on the likely outcome? Selection has a holiday while populations are in logarithmic expansion, because there is little competition. All sorts of odd individuals, tribes and cultures survive." Humans will start evolving fast when food and space run out, and they have to adapt or die. At present my answer to your question is no.

I confirm my past answer : Yes, human still evolove and may be more rapid than the past centuries. that happen due to the fast development in technology which facilitate the daily life, health care, food abandunce, social reaction even the disasters and wars.

There is not a shred of evidence that physical or genetic evolution has slowed down at all in the human species. It strikes me as another manifestation of human arrogance to even consider the possibility that we are the only species in the history of the earth to stop evolving.

of course we are still evolving. The problem is that most people think of "evolving" as becoming "better", and then define what "better" is. My guess is that Americans are getting better at drinking and driving, because if you aren't you die. The same goes for a lot of stuff. We are likely evolving to become more resistant to mutagens because our exposure has increased so much in the last thousand years. The other problem is that evolution is a function of generations, and we each only get to see one. Perhaps we looked a bit different, or were had somewhat different enzymes (can you say "lactose intolerant") 5000 years ago. We are changing, but it is, almost by definition, at a rate slower than we can perceive.
