Traditional methods could be defined as writing and even speaking. Do modern communicative means such as texting, tweeting, memes, email, social media, virtual reality and so on, create a technological stepping stone for society to become post-human or even trans-human? - where the technological augments the biological, to where even speech organs are no longer required.
I would caution against such a view. The digital means are rather imperfect methods, in fact even writing has its limitations. My personal view is that the spoken word, especially in a multi-dimensional context (seeing it happen), is becoming more and more important.
Consider the different perceptions for example a meme can create. Add in different cultural backgrounds.... As long as there is no universal understanding of the same piece of information, we will need speech and lots of it for our daily interactions.

No, but it is experiencing an evolution, taking new shapes adapting to the present needs and scenarios. Actually even with texting et. al., the elements of conventional communication process is still in existence especially with the ultimate aim of gaining comprehension and understanding between the communicators.

Listened to an interesting discussion on the work of Marshall McLuhan (author of 'The medium is the Message') - he would answer a definite yes. Might be worth taking a closer a look - he's now being hailed as a man before his time.
Yes, McLuhan, may have have the answer but his interpretation is beyond every body.
I'm not sure if it's a question of traditional means of communication are dying per sae, but evolving. From a Creative Writing perspective the evolution in digitalisation has enabled higher volumes of individuals globally to be express themsleves and share their personal perspectives, which to a degree facilitates a richer, more diverse international community.
However, in gaining a broader, more accessible platform for communication, I believe traditional technical skills associated with writing have been lost.
