The articles can be related to reducing dross generation during the Lead refining process. The articles can also relate to other metals such as Aluminum. They can also quote references on chemical reactions during the dross generation process.
Thank you Dr. Boucham. There are process equipments requiring capital investments to handle dross and extract Lead. What I am looking for specifically is how to minimize Dross generation to its minimized level of entitlement. We know dross is inevitable and so how has someone controlled it. For example Dross generated is a direct function of:
a - Kettle Temperature
b - Kettle Agitator Speed
c - Chemicals Added to Extract undesirable metals (Sb, Sn, Cu, Te)
d - Thermal Cycling to add specific chemicals (Caustic, Nitre, Pyrite, Sulfur)
e - Exposure of Kettle to an oxygen enriched atmosphere causing Lead oxidation
f - Other factors?
Is there a mathematical model baring a transfer function to minimize Dross?
