In solving fluid mechanics problem with numeric/computational methods, we are often faced with the geometric size. So the number of cells grids needed is huge. This result is in the inability of PC computers to perform calculations. If we can apply a similarity rule exactly between the prototype (actual size) and the model (calculation size), then we can perform numerical calculations with a small number of cells/grids. But is this rule technically feasible?
