We have to expect that theoretical physics needs even more than 61 particles to declare the world of real particles and atomic nuclei. Otherwise was the proof of 'quarks' at LHC a failure. You can justifiably claim that this particles do not exist and possibly some others.

In chemistry is valid: Analysis and synthesis are the proof of the composition and structure of a chemical compound.

In physics is valid: Particles and structures are being created by theoretical considerations and proven by experiments which are evaluated in the sense of the underlying theories.

If I analyse the the particle decays, nuclear fragmentations etc. than electron and positron arise at least as elementary particles. The electron-positron impact experiments synthesized at different research facilities in the world light mesons and other particles.

Experimental physics has already proven the structure of the particles and atomic nuclei but theoretical physics persist in its theories of the day before yesterday.
