I'm working on nanoparticle biosynthesis using bacteria and would like to compare the biological synthesis of silver and titanium dioxide nanoparticles. Specifically, I'm interested in differences in:
Mechanisms of synthesis (e.g., enzymatic pathways, reduction/oxidation processes)
When bacterial metabolites reduce silver and titanium ions, unknown reducing agents play a role, and therefore the reaction mechanism cannot be investigated. This problem was solved only by our article, where we used rutin to reduce gold ions.
