Does anyone have any idea as to how to search for such articles using Google Scholar or SciFinder?
I have encountered numerous papers on chiral separation of pharmaceuticals where the stereoconfiguration was not determined. The focus of the papers was often determining chiral separation mechanism.
It's hard to come up with a search term to find those studies since there is no convention of naming them. The best way is to go through individually the papers on chirality.
I have seen papers like that when the focus is in chiral chromatography or when only minute amounts of the compound were. obtained. Tipically, those papers will be in second line journals.

Sure! Actually there are a lot of natural products that has their absolute configuration to be confirmed or even some times the absolute configuration was wrongly assigned and new studies correct them.

Search for the structure in SciFinder. You will have the option to search for the structure without considering stereochemistry, considering relative stereochemistry or only absolute stereochemistry match. If you choose relative stereochemistry match you will likely find papers without optical rotation value and compounds which absolute stereochemistry is unknown or undetermined.
