Are there any remedies to prevent mouse mothers (C57BL/6J) from killing their pups?

I am a PhD scholar working on Gestational diabetes mellitus model in C57BL/6J mice. Soon after the delivery, mothers will either kill their pups or do non-lactation/ failure to nurse and eventually pup dies. Has anyone faced this issue? Are there any remedies to resolve this?

(Each mother is kept in a separate cage, with no disturbances)
