as a way of inhibiting pgp activity by targetting the ATPase
You could probably use a non-hydrolyzable ATP analog, such as AMP-PNP, AMP-PCP, or ATP-gamma-S. The required concentration will undoubtedly be quite high (mM).
thank you Adam B Shapiro Do you have an idea how those analogs inhibit as in the mechanism?
They compete with ATP, but are not hydrolyzed to ADP.
I am looking at the ATP1A2 (Sodium/Potassium ATPase alpha subunit 2) in two human neuronal cell lines. Expression levels of this protein seems to be almost equal when detected by one antibody....

Cochlea has a highly sophisticated system to maintain K+ concentration in the endolymph and IHC. I thought adopting Na+/K+ ATPase(just exchanging K+ mutually, directly) would be a lot simpler to...

I apologize for the analogy if you are really interested in cars. This is about protein function, but a crucial one because the extraction from membranes of a mistargeted protein is an essential...

ATP energy-storing molecule as is no doubt an efficient! as not only it is used as energy storage and provider in all forms of life and has probably been around for billions of years. Even in the...

I have been studying the protonation states of an enzyme. It has a vanadate cofactor. The vanadate can be in mono-, di-, tri- or quad state. I can calculate the total QM/MM energy of say the...

I have tried the Ogilvie protocol with prestain buffer at pH 4.3 and 4.5 but the fibers are either all light blue or dark blue respectively. I've come across many papers which claim to use this...
