Based on the article attached below, HIL index values were measured by spectrophotometry to compare concentrations of hemoglobin, bilirubin and Intralipid. Are there any other automated machines or methodologies that can measure HIL index?

Results from hemolyzed, icteric, and lipemic samples may be inaccurate and can lead to medical errors. These preanalytical interferences maybe detected using visual or automated assessment (Simundic et al., 2009). Other automated machines that can be used in measuring the HIL index are the Vista 1500 system (Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics), the Advia 2400 system (Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics), and the Modular DPE system (Roche Diagnostics). Based on the study of Shin et al. (2014), they gathered data using these three analyzers to measure the HIL index for 30 assays.

Hemolyzed, icteric, and lipemic samples may also be detected using the Sysmex CS-2500 System, an automated coagulation analyzer. This is an assay-based preanalytical sample quality check that uses PSI technology for these preanalytical interferences.
