Abbyy finereader has screen-shot recognition plugin. So, you can try to create script to use recognition of small part of screen (with your realtime image of numbers) and save data as file. Later you can combine all data from files in one data set with time of file creation - so it will give you dynamic.

Actually, then you born excellent idea somebody already find way to realize this ;)

As option look for somebody familiar with electronics to make converter of digital signal to log

Matlab is capable to image recognition but you will have to put in a bit of effort to write your own implementation. there is also the option of compiling into an executable and run it off a Ras. pi :-)

I don’t trust my code development skills in Matlab sufficiently to do it myself (!) but from what you and Daniil say I need to find a colleague at out university with digital conversion skills.

Easymacrosrecorder allow to create automatic pattern of mouse action (f.e. moving cursor,clicking etc.), so you can use it without any special knowledges to create "recording pattern" ;)
