Hi,

are there any microwave digestion/oxidation procedures for sulfides (e.g. Na2S, Na2Sx, Ag2S) for further determination of S via ICP-OES ?

I need to do the digestion, since the sulfur in non-digested samples may cause problems with memory effects in the tubings of the ICP-OES device.

But I am afraid, that the aqua regia digestion will produce H2S, which will evaporate and the I will get false results for S, or if it stays in the solution, it will cause the same memory effects.

Is H2O2 (produces SO42- in reactions with sulfides) usable for microwave digestion also?

Thanks,

Jan
