Transparency international is the famous institution aiming to fight against corruption. unfortunately, i can not acess this website in mainland China. maybe it has been forbidden. i hope to gain some information about  research centers within university where i can find a post-doctoral position.

--The World Bank has the Worldwide Governance Indicators (WGI) Project. It has bulit an Index of Governance (1998-present) and one of its six indicators is Control of Corruption (CCI). It is at least as goof as the Transparency International index (CPI). I added the link to the WGI Project (hope you can access it). 

--There are two scholars with very interesting work on corruption. One of them is Bo Rothstein, who founded in 2004 the Quality of Government Institute in the University of Gothenburg. See the links below. 

--Finally, I like the work on corruption by Eric Uslaner (he has co-authored with Rothstein). See the link.

You might also want to have a look at the recently published book by Leo Huberts titled "The integrity of governance: What it is, what we know, what is done and where to go". This book provides a comprehensive overview and synthesis of the up to date research on corruption related issues, inlcuding published articles, books and available data used for the measurement of corruption. Hubert's book will be particualrly useful to you if you are interested in the relation between corruption and principles of governance, such as integrity of political leaders or public servants. You will also find references to China in the book. 

Robert Rotberg currently a visiting fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars is working on an anti-corruption piece.  He is formerly from Harvard.

corruption is a world-wide problem. many scholars have devoted themselves into this research area. however, we have not had  good communication and collaboration with each other.

now i am working on the corruprion issue within the process of urban development in China. If someone has an interest in this topic, i expect to have a deep communication online or by email. My core question is: how does state-led urbanization breed the systemic corruption in China?
