Can anybody discuss the relative safety/efficacy advantages of vaccines administered to the mucosa vs parenterally administered vaccines? I see that Moderna is using mRNA to transiently express the spike protein for SARS COV2 as a vaccine candidate, but not sure how it is being administered.
