As you know there are many theories to model the sandwich conical structures, and there are some methods to model the mechanical properties of FGM. But, the important question is that
are these models really use in the industries?
For example, is Nasa using FGM based on Mori-tanaka model, or using sandwich panel theories in the sandwich structures of the spacecrafts?

Of course, various theories of model using for sandwich structure and FGM structure and its application. In recent days FGM material and its concept widely used in Aerospace and energy sector.
Suppose a sandwich conical structure is used in an industrial design and there is a need to add some load over it. Then to know upto what extent one can add the load, they will have to go for the research papers dealing with buckling and fracture of structures of that particular geometry. And the best model for that geometry will give the best result. Our papers will definitely not go in vain. 😊
