It’s observed that the internal signals of the nervous system in the brain are discrete sequences of spikes as digital signals. However, many external or indirect probes reported analog or continuous ones. These lead to significantly different neural models in neurology and brain science. Is the external models of neural signals are mealy an integration of the internal sequences of digital spikes? Perhaps, via this perspective, both categories of theories and neural models may be unified.
