Are immature RBCs and erythropoietic progenitors resistant to RBC lysis?

I am thinking of sorting Ter119+ cells from the spleen and bone marrow to look at the transcription profile in immature RBCs and erythropoietic progenitors. Could I use RBC lysis to remove mature RBC? Thank you!
