Some clay tablewares are coated with varnish which contains some heavy metals.... so, is clay tableware unsuitable for health?

Thank you Ali , but Lately, Kanada stopped importing Moroccan (tajine) made from red clay and stained with varnish because the latter is lead-based and is toxic...!!!?

Clay tablewares must be free from Varnish or any chemicals. Un polished tablewares are good to use.
