I fabricate perovskite thin film solar cell and trying to passivate interfaces of absorbing layer with inorganic layer. I have already done TRPL measurements on the interfaces. It gave pretty good results. Now, I want to get more information about defect passivation at the interfaces. I tried DLTS, but didn't work. I am looking for other measurements so that the defect passivation argument can get stronger evidence.
Perovskite materials have defect tolerance because these materials mostly form defect states within the valence band or conduction band. Defect states within the valence band or conduction band arises due to very unusual band structure of perovskite materials

DLTS is a promising tool for studying deep-level defects in the active layer. In addition, the tool is also used to study electrically active defects in semiconductors (called charge carrier traps). Therefore, I suggest you reconsider the DLTS measurement of the device. If the results are satisfactory and the deep defects in your champion device are suppressed, you will be safe and your evidence will be strong.

CW PL is often more useful than TRPL. TRPL data are often non-trivial to interpret. See this paper that offers an objective comparison between MAPbI3, GaAs, and CdTe, as well as surface passivation effects for them. Surface recombination is still an issue for the halide perovskites, although not as bad as in the inorganic counterparts.
