thank you for your suggestion and I apologize for not being specific enough while asking for help. My intention was to ask for suggestions about ionizing radiation caused radiation burns and/or acute radiation syndrome, mainly using gamma and x rays.

I suggest a  pubmed search using the terms you mention: radiation, acute skin reaction, acute radiation syndromes, skin fibrosis etc.  You will find articles pertaining to ionizing (gamma or x-rays), as well as non-ionizing radiation.  The most lethal syndrome, i.e., lower threshold dose following moderate doses of  whole body irradiation will be bone marrow based or at higher doses, GI based.
