you could use BacDive for data mining (http://bacdive.dsmz.de/). For instance, if you looking for all strains (available from DSMZ) cultured under anaerobic conditions go to advanced search (http://bacdive.dsmz.de/?site=advsearch) and search for 'anaerobic' in the culture medium field. Alternatively, you can search for a 16S rRNA gene accession number and get some relevant data provided the strain is available from the DSMZ.
