hi, im studying inorganic material NiO nanoparticle as hole injection layer in OLED.
i sysnthesis NiO nanoparticles by solvothermal.
after solvothermal process, i cetrifugate and wash the solution at the several time. then i get the NiO NPs powder.
the powder is covered by acetice acid as stabilizer and added absolute ethanol as solvent.
but i think that maybe aggregation occur between particles.
it is different from time to time. so i want to know
To prevent aggregation
after solvothermal process is over,
how to get the NiO NPs powder
when to add stabilizer, how to add stabilizer.

Nanopowder is an oxymoron. To keep the material in nano form, don’t filter or dry.
I am not sure if this would work or not. You may try with polyvinyl alcohol as a dispersing medium to avoid segregation of NiO nanoparticle. Ployvinyl alcohol aqueous solution should be tried 2% to 5%. Which one would be working good should be tested.

You cannot prevent aggregation in a dry powder where there are absolutely no free, discrete independent particles < 100 nm. At best you have a fusion of post- and sub-micron aggregates and agglomerates. Van der Waals forces are always attractive and solid-solid diffusion does the rest.
