I have come across several articles where they talk about the scattering intensity varies considerably with measurement position for non-ergodic medium as compared to ergodic medium.

Is that is there any threshold, (say if the fluctuation is more than a certain percentage then the medium has to be classified as non-ergodic medium as compared to ergodic medium?)
