You could looking at the company MesoScale Discovery. I have used this company a few times, once to quantify Adiponectin in plasma (humans). I know they do offer such quantification from rats too. Compared to previous ELISAs, the procedure is relatively simple - but does include a few intricate stages. That said, it is not difficult.

There is quite a large number of suppliers of adiponectin ELISA kits, including Alpco - a supplier I often use for a variety of ELISA reagents, when a commercial version is needed.

You ought to contact a few suppliers who sell their reagents in your area. If your institution already has a contract with one of them, they may be more likely to give you better price even if the specific kit is not on the contract. We have often found that Alpco is willing to give us better than average prices.

You are correct, implicit was the general quality of products sold by established companies, such as Alpco. Thus far, I have never had any difficulties with any their reagents but to be clear, I've not used their adiponectin ELISA.

I have assessed plasma adiponectin using a rat adiponectin ELISA kit (Mercodia, Uppsala, Sweden) which worked well. The procedure was also relatively simple.
